Greenville Community Shelter

Salem offers opportunities for ministry to Greenville’s homeless population in two ways. 

1.  Bag Lunches – we are committed to preparing 65 bag lunches which are distributed to those residing at the shelter on the 3rd Monday morning of each month.  (these lunches are prepared and delivered on the Sunday preceding this 3rd Monday)  This is a perfect opportunity for one or two families to involve children in a missions experience.   For more information or to volunteer contact Sue Purser .

2.  Dinner – The Salem United Methodist Men prepare and serve dinner on the 4th Thursday of each month at the shelter.  They are always glad to have other volunteers from Salem join them.  For more information contact Roy Byrum.
