The Rainbow Covenant

Salem has a tradition of participating in this opportunity to financially support missions through the NC Conference of the United Methodist Church.  This giving is above and beyond that of our regular “apportionment”.  Although gifts to the Rainbow Covenant are welcome any time during the year, a special offering for the Rainbow Covenant is traditionally taken at the Christmas Eve service.  The offering is divided 5 ways:  world missions, national missions, UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief), conference missions and missionary salary support.  Giving to missions through this program assures that 100% of your gift goes to the designated ministries.  To learn more about the Rainbow Covenant visit: http://www.nccumc.org/missions/rainbow_covenant.htm or contact Sue Purser.
