New Children's Minister Sought

Salem United Methodist Church is seeking a new Children’s Minister.  We are prayerfully seeking someone who is a passionate follower of Christ and has an infectious love for children.  Salem UMC prefers to hire someone with a good understanding of Wesleyan theology, however, this is not a necessity.  We desire a staff person with a college education, who possesses developed skills in organization, and is an effective communicator to children.  Salem's Children's Minister must have the ability to develop and lead teams of lay workers to serve in creative new ways as we reach our community for Jesus Christ.  The position is for 15 hours a week.  However, our Staff Parish Committee has developed two different job descriptions to cover the responsibilities of Children’s Ministry here at Salem Church.  Someone can apply to one or both of the positions.  Below is a brief description of the two Children’s Ministry positions.  and the links below provide more detailed job descriptions. Interested applicants need to submit a resume, cover letter and three references to our Staff Parish Chair, Mindy Stoica, at PO Box 218, Simpson, NC or

Children’s Church and Sunday School Minister-The person filling this role is responsible for both of these programs, the curriculums used, and the staffing of these ministries of the church.  They would also share responsibilities of Children’s Ministry outreaches with the staff member serving as the Kids 4 Jesus Minister.  Each position has recruiting and training responsibilities within their areas of service.
